Dried fruit loaf for winter warm up

Chestnut produce belongs to the group of foodstuffs that are nutritionally highly valuable. It is an excellent source of fiber, rich with Vitamin C, doesn’t contain gluten, which makes it highly popular in gluten free nourishment that has many followers nowadays.

Ingredients:

200gr flour

2 spoons baking powder

4 eggs

2 spoons cinnamon

150gr honey

150gr hazelnuts

150gr dates

150gr dried firs

150gr raisins

 

Method:

Whisk eggs and honey, add flour with baking powder and cinnamon. Chop hazelnuts, dates and figs into bigger pieces, add raisins which you previously placed in warm water for 15 minutes and bound all ingredients into pastry. If you want, you can add 150gr finely chopped dark chocolate.

Place baking paper and pastry into square baking pan. Bake 10 minutes at 150 degrees, then 50 minutes at 120 degrees. When cool, lift bread from the pan and cover with aluminum foil at least for a day. It tastes best after three days in aluminum foil.
