Walk along several-thousand-year-old passageways
It has always been the center of interest for important figures in Montenegrin history, such as Petar II Petrović Njegoš and King Nikola I who would bring guests, officials from foreign countries visiting Montenegro, to the cave. Continuing their tradition, descendants of their homeland and tourists coming to the country from all over the world walk along several-thousand-year-old underground cave passageways.
Guided walking tours start with a train ride from the car park down to the entrance of the cave. The shortest tour with lighting through cave paths takes about 45 minutes to complete, and the adventure tour leading you to the parts of the cave where there is no lighting, which is also suitable for children, takes an hour and a half. The temperature in the cave is between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius, which is really refreshing on warm summer days.
